kate spade's favorite wine pairing

Kate Spade (who also happens to be a native Kansas Citian!) was featured on Alexis’ Napa, Swanson Vineyard’s blog, a few months ago. I’m not sure how I missed it! In addition to divulging her favorite wine pairing, she also filled out a short questionnaire. Her answers, of course, are adorable - would you expect anything less? I just love her!

Macau trực tuyến Baccaratmargherita missoni in the kitchen

AnOther Magazine caught up with Ms. Margherita Missoni at her home in Milan as she was baking Palatschinken with Jam-- a treat very similar to French crêpes. I just love that this fashionista knows her way around the kitchen! Should you be curious enough to try Palatschinken, AnOther includes a hand-written recipe for the dish from Margherita herself. I bet it would make a delicious Christmas day treat :)

cook's illustrated magazine

For the past three Christmases, My grandmother has gifted me a subscription to Cook's Illustrated. And being the magazine hoarder that I am, I've saved all of them. I'll admit-- I've never cooked one of their recipes (someday...). BUT, the issues have the most beautifully illustrated back covers! I think the above is from their December 2008 issue. When I have my own home, I'd like to frame a few and hang them about my kitchen :)

It is with great excitement that I announce Matchbook: Field Guide to a Charmed Life. Matchbook is the brainchild of Katie Armour and Jane Lilly Warren; The talented duo has brought me on their team as Associate Editor! I simply can’t wait until the magazine’s launch in January 2011-- from lipstick to letterpress, from Paris to Peru, we’ve been working day and night to create a unique lifestyle publication of the very highest caliber. Won’t you join us on this grand adventure? We’re on both Twitter and Facebook, and, of course, you can visit us at MatchbookMag.com. I truly can’t thank you enough for your continued support-- we wouldn’t be here without you! XOXOXO

thanksgiving dinner... help!

Well, it looks like I’ll be cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year. I am scared out of my mind! I mean, I’m a decent cook, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call myself “good” (I’ve had my fair share of mistakes and small fires...). With Thanksgiving only ten days away, I need to start planning this meal. Would any of you be kind enough to share some of your favorite Thanksgiving recipes with me? I was thinking about making Marilyn Monroe’s stuffing recipe as published by the New York Times last week, but I might need to find something simpler to make (believe it or not, she was a rather knowledgeable chef!). Any advice that you could spare would be greatly appreciated :)
