the chicest cat lady around

Growing up, I was terrified of cats. In recent years, though, I’ve had a total change of heart! It certainly seems like they’re the busy fashionista’s animal of choice, don’t you think? Grace Coddington, the industry’s chicest cat lady, actually published a book of feline sketches a few years ago. Like Ms. Coddington herself, The Catwalk Cats is both heartfelt + hilarious (not to mention, terribly fashion forward). It’s currently at the top of my Amazon wish list (although I'd love to find a signed copy...). Do you have cats?

want of the day

If some kind soul were to offer to buy me a car outright (hey, it could happen!), I’d definitely choose something like this 1972 tangerine BMW 2002tii. There are so many beautiful old cars about Los Angeles (I’m obsessed with this one in my neighborhood...). The warm weather here seems to make automobiles last much longer! I have to ask: If someone were to offer you a car, no strings attached, what would you choose?

at home with... gucci westman

Who doesn’t love Gucci Westman? The celebrated makeup artist and global artistic director for Revlon was profiled years ago in the January 2007 issue of House & Garden (you know, the one with Chloë Sevigny on the cover?). Upon rediscovering it, I had to scan + post! It’s always fun to get a peek into creative’s homes, no? The little snippets that we see here - that floral wallpaper, the lace tablecloth... - is enough to make one think that her entire townhouse must be phenomenal! Hopefully one day, we’ll see it in its entirety in one of the glossies.

339 convent avenue

Since viewing Wes Anderson’s The Royal Tenenbaums in 2001, I have been obsessed with that house. Not surprisingly, I could have almost cried with I came across this short film about the Harlem property on Kate’s tumblr yesterday. I love how Wes originally wanted to shoot the film on a sound state rather than in New York City because he wanted to create the perfect New York he’d envisioned as a child... I can certainly identify with that! The house is currently a private residence and an art gallery - think I can snag a dinner invitation someday?

Macau trực tuyến Baccaratlevi's + the edible schoolyard project

2011 is a big year for Berkeley, CA’s Chez Panisse, a rad organic restaurant that only serves locally grown food. In addition to turning forty years old, the restaurant's foundation, formally known as the Chez Panisse Foundation, has officially become the Edible Schoolyard Project. The ESP establishes gardens in public schools to teach children to care for, respect and understand the food they eat. How cool is that? To raise money and support for the foundation, Chez Panisse partnered with Levi's to create a line of t-shirts... two of which are designed by Maira Kalman and Sofia Coppola! I couldn't believe it. T-shirts are $30 each and support a very good cause - you can purchase here :) I opted for Sofia's grey design - which one do you fancy?
