chez adam charlap hyman

Simply put, Adam Charlap Hyman's brooklyn flat knocked me off my feet. The fairly recent graduate of RISD currently works as a furniture, textile and interior designer and his apartment shows it. Adam installed the apartment's molding and wooden fireplace (which he painted to look like marble), and even made the iron "Cocteau" chair we see in photo four. I love his use of color and texture and have spent quite a bit of time analyzing the content in these photos. I'm incredibly inspired and impressed! If you have a moment, you've got to see rest of his space here and here. ACH, you're my new hero.

Macau trực tuyến Baccaratjean cocteau is rad

I wrote about Jean Cocteau's Milly-la-Forêt maison a little over a year and a half ago, but when I found these beautiful images I couldn't help but write about it again. Madeline Castaing, one of the premier decorators of the 20th century, assisted with the design. And I'm mad for it. Leopard walls, a tufted canopied bed, art and art supplies everywhere... it's perfect. The horn chair reminds me of Macau trực tuyến Baccarata post I wrote for Coveted Home earlier this week (Coveted Home is a super cool boutique and design studio in KC where I now work, though it feels more like play :). Would you ever upholster your walls in an animal print? I totally would. Especially if I could do it in this Scalamandre number! Dream big.

girl crush: léa seydoux

I’m a huge fan of Léa Seydoux. You know, that beautiful French actress whose character won over Luke Wilson’s character in Midnight in Paris? And more recently, the (well-suited) face of Prada Candy? Anyway, girl’s got amazing style both on the red carpet and off. The red lipstick fiend I am, I’m super excited to try her YSL Pur Couture recommendation (I bet she wears "Le Rouge"! Confession: I just ordered it...). Also, I’ve never seen Jean Cocteau’s La Bell et la Bête – must get on that ASAP. If you’re on the fence about Léa, just try to watch this interview without developing a huge girl crush. Can we say adorable?!

chez jean cocteau

Above is eccentric artist/poet Jean Cocteau’s Milly-la-Forêt maison. My knowledge of Mr. Cocteau is limited (I do know that the man liked to hold professional meetings in his bedroom, where he would lay in bed and smoke opium...), but I would love to find out more. His home, which opened to the public this summer, houses original sketches by Proust and Picasso in addition to portraits by Warhol and Man Ray. Cocteau insisted that Madeleine Castaing decorate his home, hence the bold leopard wallpaper (which I think is divine!). Katie and Jane don’t know it yet, but I think a Matchbook field trip to Milly-la-Forêt is in order :)

(P.S. - did you know that Jean Cocteau is one of Miles Redd's favorite artists?)
